DEFINEIT - Developing fisheries management indicators and targets

The DEFINEIT project aimed to produce the tools necessary to determine the economically optimal level of exploitation in European fisheries.

This level must be set to ensure that the pressure exerted on both commercial stocks and susceptible fish species is biologically sustainable as the climate changes.

The DEFINEIT project ended on the 30th of June 2012.

DEFINEIT was funded from national sources coordinated through the EC Sixth Framework ERA-NET project MariFish.
